Flouride rubbers are mixed polymers. The first type, a copolymer made of vinylidene flouride and hexa flouride propylene was introduced to the market in 1958 by DU PONT under the name of VITON. FPM is flame retardant and has a resistance which is superior to all elastomers against high temperatures, ozone, oxygen and chemicals.
FPM is for Shore-hardness Shore A 40-90 available.
Areas of application: Seals, moulded parts and hoses, cable isolation, everywhere where high temperatures and excellent chemical resistance is needed.
